5th Annual Adam Shanks Memorial Mission Miniature Golf Masters Tournament Sets the Bar Higher!
Where can you play a competitive round of golf in Mercer County in February? There is only one place of course, at the Rescue Mission of Trenton.
The 5th Annual Adam Shanks Memorial Mission Miniature Golf Masters Tournament was held on Friday, February 27, 2009 and set the bar even higher than in previous years. The original course was revamped to run throughout the Mission complex and traveled through outer space complete with spaceships and aliens, a Super Heroes Hall of Fame, an NFL experience, and the shores of Florida.
Last years’ silent auction had something for everyone – no one went home empty handed. From beach rentals, to fine jewelry, to the famous golf packages, helicopter rides, dinner and theatre tickets, the wide variety of items made the auction a hit.
The 6th AnnualAdam Shanks Memorial Mission Miniature Golf Masters Tournament will be held on Friday, February 26th (snow date March 5th) at the Rescue Mission.  Tee-off time will begin at 11:30 am with the barbecue/award ceremony at 1:30 pm. The second nine added in 2009 is a course you have to see.  Those of you, who have played in the past, know this event is a lot of fun and the nicest break from the frigid winter doldrums Trenton has to offer.
